Accommodation is based on shared rooms, single or shared double beds unless otherwise indicated.
Cancellation Policy:
Deposits: : less than 30 days of initial booking= full refund
more than 30 days of initial booking= deposit nonrefundable
Payments: more than 5 months before the event= 50% refund on what was paid
less than 5 months before the event= No refunds
With that said, I’m willing to work with you and come to an understanding or compromise, I wouldn’t want to jeopardize anyone’s finances. Refunds can be on a case-by-case basis if I’m able to find someone to fill your spot depending on the time of cancellation.
Any adjustments I’ve made to accommodate any special requests by you ie: squeezing a friend into your room or any bed changes will fall under non-refunds.
Changes to Bookings: Any changes to your booking are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
Payment: A deposit or full payment is required at the time of booking. Payment can be made via credit card or bank transfer.
Guest Responsibilities: Guests are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the accommodation during their stay. Any damages or breakages must be reported immediately, and guests will be responsible for any repair or replacement costs.
Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under this agreement due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, natural disasters, or government restrictions.
Photos and Marketing
By participating in the trip with us, you hereby grant us the right to use any images or photographs of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use in print and digital marketing materials, social media, and website content.
You understand and agree that we may use these images for any promotional or commercial purpose without further compensation or notification to you. This license is perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, and irrevocable.
If you do not wish to grant us this license, you must inform us in writing prior to the trip. However, please note that if you do not grant us this license, it may affect your ability to participate in certain activities or events during the trip.
Model Release Statement
By participating in the trip with us, you acknowledge and agree that we may take photographs or videos of you during the trip, and that these images may be used for advertising and promotional purposes as described above. You hereby release and discharge us, our agents, representatives, and assignees from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of these images, including any claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, or infringement of moral rights.
You further acknowledge and agree that we shall have the right to edit, publish, or distribute these images in any manner we choose, without further consent or notification from you.
This model release statement shall be binding upon you, your heirs, successors, assigns, and legal representatives.
Travel Insurance Policy
It’s not a requirement but a recommendation for traveling with us, it is essential that you have an appropriate travel insurance policy that covers trip cancellations and interruptions. Your insurance policy should also provide coverage for medical expenses and personal accidents.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance policy offers adequate protection for the entire duration of your trip, including coverage for medical expenses, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation, and curtailment. Your policy should also include medical emergency helicopter repatriation.
Please note that your travel insurance policy should not have exclusion clauses that limit or exclude protection for the activities included in your trip. If necessary, you should arrange supplementary insurance to meet your specific personal requirements.
We remind you that it is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid travel insurance that is appropriate for your needs. In the event of any loss, we will not be liable if you can claim damages under a travel insurance policy.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country where Rival Island is located. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that country.
Covid 19 : Please note that we will make every reasonable effort to monitor and update you on COVID-19 updates in the countries where we operate. However, it is your sole responsibility to read and comply with the COVID-19 policies and regulations set forth by the government and health authorities of the countries where you will be traveling.
We cannot guarantee that the information we provide will be up-to-date, accurate, or complete, and we will not be liable for any losses or damages arising from your failure to comply with the COVID-19 policies and regulations of the countries where you travel.
By participating in any activity or service offered by our company, you agree to hold us harmless and release us from any and all liability for any losses, damages, or claims arising from COVID-19, including but not limited to illness, injury, or death. You acknowledge that you have read and understood our COVID-19 policy and agree to comply with its terms and conditions.
Passport, Visa, and Immigration Requirements
For international travel, all travelers must possess a valid passport. It is important to note that many countries require passports to be valid for at least six months from the date of return. Additionally, some countries may require a machine-readable passport or unstamped available pages.
When booking a trip with us, we assume that all travelers on the booking have a valid passport. However, if this is not the case, please inform us immediately.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid passports, visas, and re-entry permits that meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities, including transit visas where necessary. This includes providing proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR/fit to travel documents or proof of full Covid-19 vaccinations, where required.
Please note that any fines, penalties, delays, or expenditures incurred as a result of not meeting the requirements of immigration and other government authorities will be solely your responsibility.
We shall not be held responsible if you are unable to travel due to non-compliance with any passport, visa, Covid-19, or immigration requirements. Therefore, we strongly advise you to ensure that you have all the necessary documentation and meet the requirements well in advance of your travel date.
No Liability Statement
Rival Island shall not be held responsible or liable for any injuries, damages, losses, accidents, or any other incidents that occur during the event. By attending or participating in Rival Island you acknowledge and agree that you assume full responsibility for your own safety and well-being, and that you participate at your own risk.
You further acknowledge and agree that Rival Island, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be held responsible or liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses resulting from the event regardless of whether such damages arise in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise.
By attending or participating in Rival Island you release Rival Island its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, whether now known or unknown, arising out of or in connection with your attendance or participation in [the event/activity].
This no liability statement shall be binding upon you, your heirs, successors, assigns, and legal representatives.
